Steam rises from the surface of the boiling water leaving behind dissolved solids and some impurities. These remain in the boiling chamber as a residue which are easily removed by the Descaler & Cleaner Bottle supplied with your water distiller.

Filtration Process:

1. The steam rises to the top of the boiling chamber, entering the fan-cooled stainless steel cooling duct.
2. This turns the steam back into water.
3. Water goes through a carbon filter (last stage) as a final precaution to remove any residues of organic chemicals. 
4. Filtered Water is collected in the Glass Jug supplied with this unit.
